5Small book Packs a big punch!  Nov 23, 2008 By J. Powell
I remember in the late 80's and early 90's when taking a "rope bag" to carry your groceries home in was almost like a fashion statement. Books like "10 small things you can do to save the planet" were popular at the time. Why do need to be reminded of these lessons all the time?
This book picks up in earnest where that era left off.

This book has a small physical "footprint" itself, at only slightly larger than the size of large postcard, however, it packs in a LOT of information.

It basically breaks down, with very colorful graphics on smooth paper, each area of the life of consumer. These include Heating and cooking, washing and cleaning, shopping, children, work, transportation, etc.

Each graphic is then filled with "call out boxes" that list areas that you can save energy or reduce your carbon footprint.

I find the book very useful in making cognizant choices in specific areas. It would be a wonderful book for school children also. (10 and up) Highly recommended.

This is a fast read that can be absorbed a little at a time. I did feel a rather anti-American bias and quickly looked to see where it was published. Right, not an American publication.
