Cliff's notes for building codes Sep 01, 2010

Small in size but packed with great diagrams and code info that I can quickly access when I need it. I was impressed with the level of detail and the breadth of different codes and topics covered. Four stars because it doesn't list what isn't covered, so I get somewhat of a false sense of security that following this will keep me 100% safe, but realistically there's no way to fit all of the IBC in this smallish book.

The law can be a tricky and fickle thing. "DeWalt Building Code Reference: The Ultimate Code Reference for Residential Construction" is a guide to dealing gingerly with building code laws that all too often land projects in limbo due to some obscure violation. Covering the countless aspects of construction and what one needs to prepare for, "DeWalt Building Code Reference" is highly recommended and should be on the shelf of anyone in the construction business.

On the plus side, The book has great graphics.
On the minus side, This is a first edition and there are many errors. Specifically where the diagrams do not match the text.
Wait for the second edition.
