5Pricey but essential  Jun 29, 2006 By James Ferguson
Revised, expanded, and essential to anyone in the building industry because these codes apply across the board, including virtually all states in the US. The IBC has replaced state and other building codes. This volume provides information in the English measuring system. I prefer the looseleaf edition to the bound volume because it folds completely open and you can leaf through the pages more easily, as you are constantly being referred from one section to another. Of course you will want to update your other international code books as well.

4IBC New Kid on the Block  Nov 02, 2007 By H. Martin
The newest edition of the IBC has finally come up with an easy-to-read version that allows users to easily access information in a familiar format but also allows quick reference and notes the deletion of important paragraphs and sections. I would highly recommend this book for all those in the construction industry. This book is the future of our profession...

2Cumbersome and hard to use as reference  Oct 21, 2009 By M. Richard
I bought this book as a reference to take the California professional engineering exam (civil-seismic). I thought the binder edition would be great, but the binder it came in was about twice as big as it needed to be, which made it a pain to carry around to classes and the exam. I ended up transferring the pages into a more compact binder. I also had a really hard time navigating through the table of contents and index to find specific things I needed. Thank goodness our instructor gave us detailed sections to study and highlight!

1Flim Flamed  May 04, 2010 By Larry D. Shackelford
I have not received this code book in the alloted delivery time. I have written an email and have not been given a response. . . WHERE IS MY CODE BOOK!!!

5International Building Code loose leaf binder format  Aug 03, 2008 By Nina S. Hiken "Practically Creative"
the Code is the Code, nothing to say about that, but I like the IBC as a loose leaf binder because you can pull out the ratings charts and review/cross-reference different sections of the code without hefting that cumbersome tome. The soft cover bound edition does not offer that option.
